Karnataka has sought a full detailed report on the Hogenakal project from Tamil Nadu, state Major and Medium Irrigation Minister Basavaraja Bommai said on Friday."We are yet to get a reply from Tamil Nadu," Bommai told reporters on the sidelines of a function in Bangalore.The minister said the state has also written a letter to the Centre, seeking details of the project on the Tamil Nadu-Karnataka border, for which a response is awaited.
Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa on Wednesday visited the family of Siddalingappa Choori, who was killed in police firing at Haveri on Tuesday.Yeddyurappa handed over a cheque of Rs two lakh to the farmer's family. The Chief Minister said that he was shocked and deeply hurt by the incident.Accompanied by Public Works Minister C M Udasi and Medium and Major Irrigation Minister Basavaraja Bommai, the CM assured the family all help and offered a job to a family member.

Bommai on Saturday made it clear that he is not travelling to any foreign country and that there is no question of any new chief minister in Karnataka.
